Weihnachten in Indien<\/a> ist anders als daheim, was nicht nur an den sommerlichen Temperaturen von 30 Grad liegt. Nicht alle feiern hier Weihnachten, da Don Bosco<\/a> aber eine christliche Organisation ist, kam auch bei uns weihnachtliche Stimmung auf.


Ziemlich spontan gab es im BVK eine Weihnachtsfeier. Dort arbeite ich am morgen und gebe Erwachsenen in der Computer oder Jute Class eine Ausbildung. Am Donnerstag bereiteten wir alles vor. Von Schmuck bis zum Ein\u00fcben von T\u00e4nzen.
Und am Freitag war es dann auch schon so weit. Eingekleidet im Saree stand ich wie immer um 9 Uhr im BVK. Die Weihnachtsfeier begann erst um 11 Uhr weshalb noch Zeit zum Vorbereiten war. So wurde auch mir noch ein Tanz aufgedr\u00fcckt. Zum Gl\u00fcck musste ich aber nicht alleine Tanzen und so \u00fcberstand ich auch das ohne gr\u00f6\u00dfere Probleme. Nach Reden, Liedersingen und T\u00e4nzen gab es mittags Essen und dannach noch Spiele.

\nWir Volont\u00e4re machten eine eigene kleine Weihnachtsfeier auf der Dachterasse. Wir hatten uns viel zu viel Essen gekocht und waren nach gro\u00dfen Mengen Kartoffelpfanne, K\u00e4sesp\u00e4tzle, Nudel- und Kichererbsensalat pappsatt.
\nDas absolute Highlight war die Bescherung. Wir alle hatten flei\u00dfig ein Wichtelgeschenk f\u00fcr einen Mitvolont\u00e4r gebastelt oder ausgesucht. So konnte sich jeder \u00fcber ein Geschenk freuen und es war wirklich f\u00fcr jeden das Richtige dabei. Das hat sich noch am ehesten wie Weihnachten daheim angef\u00fchlt. Wir hatten sogar unserem gro\u00dfen Weihnachtsbaum der von alten Volos noch in der Flat ist, oben aufgestellt und es war ein wirklich sch\u00f6ner Abend.

\nEtwas stressiger ging es bei der Weihnachtsfeier am 22. im Chiguru zu.
\nUngef\u00e4hr 600 Kinder kamen aus den unterschiedlichen Projekten zusammen. Bei der Feier wurden, wie es sich f\u00fcr Indien geh\u00f6rt, ordentlich T\u00e4nze aufgef\u00fchrt. Die Jungs aus dem Lilly Mogga hatten die Weihnachtsgeschichte einge\u00fcbt und spielten sie vor und auch das traditionelle Cakecutting, also das anschneiden eines Kuchens, kam nat\u00fcrlich nicht zu kurz.
\nNach dem Mittagessen gab es dann noch Spiele und meine Mitvolont\u00e4rin verteilte Weihnachtsbriefe an die Kinder, die ihr aus der Heimat geschickt worden waren.

\nUnd dann kam auch der 24. Dezember. F\u00fcr uns ein ganz normaler Arbeitstag. Nachts gingen einige Volont\u00e4re in die Kirche. Hannah und ich gingen zusammen mit den Lilly Moggas. Die Kirche startete um 11 und ging bis 2 Uhr. Das ganze war auf Telugu. Prinzipiell war der Kirchenablauf der Gleiche, unterst\u00fctzt von lauter, musikalischer Begleitung.
\nDannach gingen wir noch mit ins Lilly Mogga. Dort gab es dann noch Snacks um 2:20 Uhr.

\nAuch bei mir gingen die Weihnachtstage also gut vorr\u00fcber. Und obwohl die Hindus und damit der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Teil der Bev\u00f6lkerung kein Weihnachten feiert, waren viele H\u00e4user mit ordentlich Lichterketten dekoriert.
