Zun\u00e4chst von Frankfurt nach Istanbul wo ich dann meine Mitvolunt\u00e4re Caspar und Gregor f\u00fcr den Weiterflug nach Sambia traf. Au\u00dferdem Vanessa und Wiebke, die ihren <a href=\"https:\/\/www.donboscovolunteers.de\/\">Freiwilligendienst<\/a> ebenfalls in Sambia absolvieren, allerdings in einem anderen Projekt, n\u00e4mlich der City of Hope in Lusaka. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wie sich das anf\u00fchlt allen Lieben f\u00fcr ein Jahr lebewohl zu sagen?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-So genau kann ich das noch gar nicht sagen. Es war komisch aber auch gar nicht so neu. Denn nicht nur das Studium verschlug mich vor fast sieben Jahren nach Kiel, 600km weit weg von Familie und Freunden. Seit meinem Praktikum in Ghana 2014 packt mich immer wieder das Fernweh und die Sehnsucht nach dem gro\u00dfen, vielf\u00e4ltigen Kontinent im S\u00fcden von dem wir immer so viel h\u00f6ren \u00fcber den wir aber dennoch so wenig wissen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So packte mich im Flugzeug pl\u00f6tzlich das pure Gl\u00fccksgef\u00fchl: Ich werde bald ein Jahr in Afrika sein! Vermischt mit der Vorfreude auf alles unbekannte neue: Ein neues Land, eine neue Kultur, die Leute, Kinder und das Projekt, war ich absolut aufgedreht, was meine hinter mir sitzenden Mitvolunt\u00e4re zu sp\u00fcren bekamen. Ich glaube ich habe nicht mehr aufgeh\u00f6rt zu lachen und zu reden. (Die Stewardess hat&#8217;s \u00fcbrigens mitbekommen und uns daraufhin Pl\u00e4tze nebeneinander organisiert; da brauchte ich mich dann auch nicht mehr so verrenken.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Um 2.30Uhr landeten wir dann endlich in Lusaka. Die Luft war warm und ich w\u00fcnschte ich k\u00f6nnten den in der Luft liegenden Geruch beschreiben. Meine innerliche Freude stieg in&#8217;s unermessliche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>W\u00e4hrend wir damit gerechnet hatten eine Weile am Flughafen zu warten erwartete uns Father Chris bereits um mit uns zun\u00e4chst in&#8217;s Provincial House in Lusaka zu Fahren, wo wir die ersten Tage verbringen w\u00fcrden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Fahrt verlief recht schweigsam w\u00e4hrend jeder die ersten, neuen Eindr\u00fccke auf sich wirken lies bevor wir, im Haus angekommen, m\u00fcde in unsere Betten fielen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ich m\u00f6chte an dieser Stelle den Verantwortlichen in Deutschland danken meinen Wunsch ein Jahr in einem afrikanischen Land zu verbringen nicht nur ernst genommen sondern auch erm\u00f6glicht haben.
